Terms of Service
Effective June 16, 2026
Welcome to Gbuild
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Gbuildthat governs your use of the Gbuild desktop application, the gbuild.app website, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We have done our best to write these in plain language. If something is unclear, email [email protected] and we will explain.
Who may use Gbuild
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by law in your region) to use Gbuild. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
By using Gbuild, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right and authority to agree to these Terms.
Your account
To use Gbuild, you create an account using Google, GitHub, Apple, or email sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity that happens through your account.
If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, let us know immediately at [email protected].
What we provide
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Gbuild application and Service for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. This license does not give you ownership of any part of Gbuild — it is a right to use the Service, not a sale.
Gbuild is a desktop application for macOS that helps you work with AI — managing projects, creating content, connecting services, and more. Features may change as we improve the product; when we make material changes, we will let you know.
Beta and pre-release status
Gbuild is under active development and is provided on a pre-release, beta, and experimental basis. It may contain defects, incomplete features, and errors that could cause loss of data, loss of functionality, or other issues. The Service may change substantially between versions, and features available today may be modified or removed without notice.
By using Gbuild in its current state, you acknowledge that you are using pre-release software and accept the risks inherent in doing so — including the possibility of data loss, unexpected behavior, service interruptions, and changes to functionality. There is no guarantee of uptime, continuity, or fitness for any particular workflow.
Your responsibilities
When you use Gbuild, you agree to:
- follow applicable laws and regulations;
- respect the rights of others — including their intellectual property, privacy, and dignity;
- use the Service in line with our community standards, described on our Support & Our Promise page;
- not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Gbuild, except where the law expressly permits it;
- not use the Service to interfere with or disrupt other users or our infrastructure.
Acceptable use
Our full community standards — including what is and is not acceptable use of Gbuild and its AI capabilities — are set out on our Support page. Those standards are part of these Terms. If your use of Gbuild falls short of them, we may take the actions described in the Reporting & enforcement section of that page.
Your content
You own the content you create, upload, or store through Gbuild. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it to train our own AI models.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, transmit, and process your content solely as needed to provide and improve the Service — for example, sending a prompt to an AI provider on your behalf, or syncing data between your connected services. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.
You are responsible for the content you create and share through Gbuild, including making sure you have the rights to use it.
AI-generated output
Gbuild includes AI capabilities — text, image, video generation, and more — powered by both on-device and cloud AI models. AI-generated output may not always be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your purposes. Outputs may contain factual errors, omissions, or fabricated information, even when they appear detailed or authoritative.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding how to use any AI-generated content before relying on it. Do not treat AI-generated output as professional, legal, financial, medical, tax, engineering, or safety advice. If accuracy or professional judgment matters for your use case, consult an appropriately qualified professional.
You are also solely responsible for any actions, automations, or changes to your devices, accounts, or connected services that you direct Gbuild or its agents to perform on your behalf. Review agent-proposed actions before approving them.
Ownership and rights in AI-generated content may depend on applicable law, the AI provider's terms, and the nature of the output. We do not make specific claims about who owns AI-generated content — consult legal advice if ownership matters for your use case.
We encourage you to disclose when content is AI-generated in settings where that matters (see our guidance on honesty).
Third-party services
Gbuild lets you connect to third-party services — such as Notion, GitHub, Google, Asana, and others — so you can work across the tools you already use. When you connect a third-party service, your use of that service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. If a connected service changes or discontinues a feature, that may affect your experience in Gbuild.
Intellectual property
Gbuild — including its software, design, branding, documentation, and underlying technology — is owned by Gbuild and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.
Assumption of risk
YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL OUTPUTS, AGENT ACTIONS, AND MATERIALS, IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. This applies to every user — whether you are a registered account holder, a tester, an evaluator, a recipient of a shared link, or any other person who accesses or uses Gbuild in any way.
Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ALL SOFTWARE, OUTPUTS, AGENT ACTIONS, AI-GENERATED CONTENT, AND MATERIALS — IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.
GBUILD EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, INTEGRATION, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEITHER GBUILD NOR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) THE RESULTS OR OUTPUTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT) WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE; (D) ANY DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED; OR (E) THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We care about building Gbuild well, and we work to make it reliable and useful — but the disclaimers above reflect the reality that no software is perfect, especially during active development. We are being straightforward, not indifferent.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL GBUILD, ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR SUCCESSORS (COLLECTIVELY, THE "GBUILD PARTIES") BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR PERSONAL OR PROPERTY DAMAGE — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY (INCLUDING CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF THE GBUILD PARTIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE GBUILD PARTIES' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PAID TO GBUILD FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US$100).
THE EXISTENCE OF MORE THAN ONE CLAIM WILL NOT ENLARGE THIS LIMIT. THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER A REMEDY PROVES INADEQUATE FOR ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain categories of damages or the limitation of implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, the limitations and exclusions above apply only to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnification
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE GBUILD PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS, AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES AND COSTS) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO: (A) YOUR USE OF OR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE; (B) YOUR VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS OR ANY APPLICABLE LAW; (C) YOUR INFRINGEMENT OR MISAPPROPRIATION OF ANY THIRD-PARTY RIGHT, INCLUDING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, PRIVACY, OR PUBLICITY RIGHTS; (D) ANY CONTENT YOU CREATE, UPLOAD, OR TRANSMIT THROUGH THE SERVICE; OR (E) ANY ACTIONS, AUTOMATIONS, OR AGENT-DIRECTED OPERATIONS YOU INITIATE THROUGH THE SERVICE.
We will give you reasonable notice of any such claim and cooperate in good faith with your defense, at your expense. You may not settle any claim that would impose obligations on Gbuild without our prior written consent.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Gbuild and close your account at any time. If you close your account, we will remove your information from our servers as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Gbuild if you violate these Terms or our community standards, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, our systems, or comply with the law. Where possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue before taking action. Severe violations — such as those involving the safety of others — may result in immediate action.
The following sections survive termination or expiration of these Terms: Assumption of risk, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Intellectual property, and General.
Changes to the Service
Gbuild is an evolving product. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we make a change that materially reduces the functionality you rely on, we will make reasonable efforts to let you know in advance.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Gbuild grows. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the Service and close your account.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed]. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
General
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. An unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later. No waiver of any provision will be effective unless in writing and signed by the party granting the waiver.
Entire agreement. These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and community standards) are the entire agreement between you and Gbuild regarding the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
Assignment. You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided the assignee agrees to honor these Terms.
Notices. We may provide notices to you through the Service, by email to the address associated with your account, or by other reasonable means. You may send legal notices to us at [email protected].
